Article: U.S. Attorney for Hawaii, Local Law Enforcement and The HSUS Announce Animal Fighting Reward Program

The Humane Society issued the following news release:

U.S. Attorney for the District of Hawaii, Edward H. Kubo Jr., Honolulu and Maui County Police Departments and The Humane Society of the United States have teamed up to combat cockfighting and dogfighting in Hawaii. At a press conference held today in Honolulu, they announced that The HSUS is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person involved in illegal animal fighting.

"This announcement sends a clear message that illegal animal fighting will not be tolerated," Kubo said. "Cracking down on these activities reduces crime and creates safer communities."
