ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 30 -- Nicholas S. Bodor of Bal Harbour, Fla., have developed anticholinergic compounds.
According to a description of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "New soft anticholinergic agents, pharmaceutical compositions containing them, processes for their preparation and methods for eliciting an anticholinergic response, especially for treating an inflammatory or obstructive disease of the respiratory tract or for treating overactive bladder, are provided."
The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,417,147 on Aug. 26.
