SALINA - Two significant deals won by Polaris Library Systems late last year are helping the company capture bigger business in 2008.
The public library systems in Dallas and Phoenix signed on as Polaris customers last fall. The contracts were important for the Salina-based company as it showed that its system could handle major libraries, says Anita Wagner, chief operating officer of Polaris Library Systems.
Previously, the company's large customers were similar in size to Onondaga County's library system. Phoenix and Dallas were an important step up in customer size, Wagner says.
"Those are two very large urban libraries," she says. "They're very influential."
