Gov. Mike Easley, D-N.C., issued the following press release:

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Providencia USA Inc., a subsidiary of Latin America's largest maker of nonwoven plastic materials, plans to build its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Statesville, investing $115 million and creating 90 jobs during the next three years. The expansion was made possible in part by a $56,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.
