Virginia Inventors Develop Vessel Steering System

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- Justin C. Morse of Ruckersville, Va., Lawrence E. Rainey of Barboursville, Va., and Andre Richards of Charlottsville, Va., have developed a vessel steering system with electric motor assembly.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A steering system for a vessel is provided. The steering system includes an electric motor assembly and a steering linkage for transmitting the rotational output of the electric motor assembly to the vessel's rudder.
