ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 9 -- Dwarika P. Agarwal of Attleboro, Mass., and Grigory Raykhtsaum of , Mass., have developed a 14-karat rose-colored gold alloy composition.
According to a description of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates generally to gold alloy compositions, and, more particularly, to improved 14-karat and 18-karat rose-colored gold alloy compositions having reversible hardness characteristics between their respective annealed- and age-hardened values."
The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,413,705 on Aug. 19.
