Article: REP. HOYER TO OPM: LET'S WORK TO PROMOTE CONSERVATION, HELP FEDERAL EMPLOYEES REDUCE CONSUMPTION

Rep. Steny H. Hoyer, D-Md. (5th CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) sent a letter today to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regarding his proposal to transition more federal employees to a 4-day, 10-hour workweek as a means to conserve gasoline, reduce congestion, and lower commuting costs for all drivers. The letter responds to incorrect interpretations made by OPM about the 4-day workweek proposal and asks the agency to provide information detailing the extent to which federal employees are eligible and are already using flexible work schedules.
