Article: SENS. SNOWE, COLLINS ANNOUNCE OVER $1 MILLION IN HEALTH FUNDING FOR MAINE

The office of Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Olympia J. Snowe and Susan Collins (R-Maine) today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has awarded funds totaling $1,124,002 to health organizations and facilities throughout Maine.

"Maine's medical facilities must be continuously improved and maintained to keep up with the changing healthcare demands of the 21st century," Senators Snowe and Collins said. "These DHHS funds will make these improvements possible as well as supporting vital healthcare and genetic research initiatives."
