Barack Obama has a comprehensive plan to make college more affordable for all Americans. John McCain does not.
There are many issues on which presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain have wide policy differences. These include the war in Iraq, offshore drilling, abortion, taxes, and gun control.
But for readers of this journal, the candidates' positions on aid to higher educational issues are of special interest.
Speaking at a community college in Michigan this past June, Obama pointed out that higher education is simply not "an issue you hear John McCain talk about much." Indeed, on John McCain's Web site, education is one of his key issues. But nowhere on the McCain education ...
