The Maryland Wing held Critical Incident Stress Management group intervention training recently at wing headquarters, acquainting 15 members from across the state with an approach the wing's commander, Col. Jerry Weiss, hopes to see incorporated in future missions.
As the lead-off speaker, Maj. George Murray, acting Maryland Wing CISM coordinator, framed and scoped the course by noting that CAP volunteers could experience a broad range of health consequences as a result of activity-related exposure to natural or man-made disasters.
