The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee issued the following news release:

As John McCain began airing a new radio ad touting his work to fund stem cell research late last week, Republican candidate Keith Fimian (VA-11) showed his extreme views by opposing stem cell research that could unlock cures to countless diseases.

Keith Fimian proved that he'll be a card-carrying member of the "extreme right caucus" in Congress, showing that he is too extreme to be one of the "Congressional allies" McCain mentions in his new ad. Fimian also made his extreme anti-choice stance clear when he stated that he was opposed to abortion unless the life of the mother was at risk
