For most people, discovering a large beehive is the perfect way to ruin a good day.
But for David Delavan, it's like finding money.
The Upper Southampton man captures and freezes hornets, wasps and yellow jackets and then sells them to an allergen extract company, which uses the venom to produce serums for diagnoses and treatment of allergy patients.
"It really appeals to the kid inside of you," he said of his chosen career.
