First of all, we are very pleased and honored that our article has generated editorial comments from real pioneers and masters of electrocardiography as Gettes and Selvester. They are giving to us an opportunity to make some further comments about the terminology given to the walls of the heart (left ventricular) and the change in the paradigm that prominent R waves in V^sub 1^ that appear in the course of acute myocardial infarction (MI) corresponds to location in the lateral and not in the posterior wall. We agree with Gettes and Selvester in some points but not completely in others. We will try to present our discrepancies with clear demonstrations, and we hope that after ...
