Article: EMPIRE STATE DEVELOPMENT APPROVES $67 MILLION IN UPSTATE GRANTS AT BOARD MEETING

Empire State Development issued the following news release:

Empire State Development today announced that 25 Upstate New York grants totaling $67 million received formal approval at the Board of Directors Meeting held in New York City on September 18.

Four Economic Development Fund projects, aimed at spurring economic growth, will leverage approximately $27 million in investment across the Upstate region, resulting in the retention of 316 jobs and the pledge of 119 additional jobs. Upstate grants presented for approval included:

* Anaren, Inc., Onondaga County - $500,000

* Alpla Inc., Cortland County - $200,000

* Dynabrade Inc., Erie County - $500,000
