Charleston's afternoon newspaper might become a morning paper.
Nanya Friend, publisher of the Charleston Daily Mail, told WOWK-TV Aug. 25 that the paper is currently studying the possibility of going to mornings.
Friend said it is too soon to tell whether the newspaper will make the change because there is so much to consider from the press room to delivery drivers to staff scheduling.
However, she said the idea of making the Daily Mail .a morning paper is intriguing.
If the newspaper makes the switch, it would place it in direct competition with its rival, The Charleston Gazette, which has seven-day-a-week morning delivery.
