Article: ATTORNEY GENERAL COAKLEY'S OFFICE REACHES $1.8 MILLION SETTLEMENT WITH DRUG MANUFACTURER

The Massachusetts Attorney General issued the following news release:

Attorney General Martha Coakley's Office has reached a settlement with Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane, Inc. (Roxane), a Columbus, OH based drug manufacturer. Roxane has agreed to pay the state's Medicaid program, MassHealth, $1.8 million to resolve a False Claims Act case pending in U. S. District Court in Boston. Roxane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ridgefield, CT based Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation.
