ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- Harry Radel of Geesthact, Germany, and Markus Krueger of Bad Segeberg, Germany, have developed an exhaust system for internal combustion engine.
According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "To provide an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine having a housing in which there are provided at least one exhaust inlet port and another exhaust discharge port, and a catalyst element, which is disposed within the housing of the exhaust system for purifying the exhaust of the internal combustion engine in such a manner that a substantial part of the exhaust at least is caused to flow through the catalyst element, that is ...
