CSB video depicts the sequence of events that led to the 2006 Partridge-Raleigh oilfield explosion.
The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB) recently released a new safety video, Death in the Oilfield, detailing an explosion that led to the deaths of three contractors at the Partridge-Raleigh oilfield in rural Raleigh, MS, in June 2006. The victims were employees of Stringer's Oilfield Services, a contract firm performing maintenance on oil storage tanks at the Partridge-Raleigh facility.
"This is the fourth fatal oilfield accident the CSB has investigated since 1998, which underscores the need for improved safety practices in this industry," CSB's William Wright says. ...
