Article: DEFENSE BILL REFLECTS REP. KLINE'S COMMITMENT TO OUR BRAVE SONS, DAUGHTERS IN UNIFORM, THEIR FAMILIES, STRONG NATIONAL DEFENSE

Rep. John Kline, R-Minn. (2nd CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman John Kline today helped steer to passage the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the U.S. House of Representatives. The NDAA, which serves as the annual budgetary blueprint for the Department of Defense (DoD), authorizes $531.4 billion for Fiscal Year 2009. Additionally, the legislation authorizes $68.6 billion in supplemental funding to support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere in the global war against Islamist extremists.
