Sorafenib

A 52-year-old man developed a severe papulopustular eruption and hyperkeratotic spicules du ring treatment with sorafenib for metastatic renal cancer.

Two months after starting treatment with sorafenib [Nexavar] 600 mg/day, the man presented with a painful papulopustular eruption of his face, scalp and neck of 4 weeks' duration, alopecia of his scalp and eyebrows, and painful bullous lesions on his palms and soles. On physical examination he had a follicular papulopustular eruption on his head and neck, with some malodorous purulent discharge from the larger lesions; there were also a few lesions in his genital area.
