Surveying Late Antique Cyprus

The Pyla-Koutsopetria Archaeological Project (PKAP) is an intensive survey of the Late Antique site of Koutsopetria, located on the coast of southern Cyprus immediately east of modern Larnaka. Since 2003, a team under the direction of the authors have conducted an intensive survey of the impressive and extensive artifact scatter at Koutsopetria. Travelers and scholars have long known the site, owing in part to its very visible location along the coastal road between Larnaka and points east.
