The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for the Northern District of Iowa issued the following press release:
United States Attorney Matt M. Dummermuth announced today that a man who conspired to manufacture methamphetamine near a playground was sentenced today to almost 22 years in federal prison.
JON YOUNG, age 36, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, received the prison term after an April 22, 2008, guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
At the guilty plea, YOUNG admitted he conspired in April and May 2007 to manufacture methamphetamine in Cedar Rapids within 1,000 feet of a playground. On May 7, 2007, law enforcement officers searched YOUNG's home and ...
