REP. ENGEL BILL TO FIGHT MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY PASSES IN HOUSE & SENATE, NOW GOES TO PRESIDENT

Rep. Eliot L. Engel, D-N.Y. (17th CD), issued the following news release:

Congressman Eliot Engel's bipartisan legislation to expand and intensify research to cure muscular dystrophy passed the full House on Saturday by Unanimous Consent. The bill had passed the House of Representatives earlier in the week by an overwhelming vote of 411-2. The Senate passed an amended version of H.R. 5265 on Friday. It came back to the House today for approval of the amended Senate version. The bill is expected to be signed into law by the President.
