The Plains Anthropological Society format for articles submitted for publication has been printed in the February 1987 (Vol. 32, No. 115) issue of Plains Anthropologist. The format closely follows the Society for American Archaeology journal format which is available on the WEB at http://www.saa.org/ Publications/StyleGuide/styframe.html.
The most common problem seen in articles submitted for publication in Plains Anthropologist is the format for references. One of the most common problems is the use of initials instead of first names for authors. In the References Cited, all references should include the authors first name unless the original publication used only initials; for example, ...
