The city of Reno issued the following news release:
Tomorrow Reno Clean and Green starts sweeping through the City of Reno with an exciting new component.
The event will put Reno on the map nationally for their recycling efforts, community involvement, and hard work to reduce illegal dumping. The new component will have Reno competing against like-sized cities across the nation in a "Cans for Cash Recycling Challenge." The challenge begins October 1 and ends on October 30.
Residents will have three simple ways to help Reno win the challenge:
1. Reno residents can put their aluminum cans in their curbside recycling bins for regular pick up throughout the month,
