Article: Rep. Ros-Lehtinen Introduces United States-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 -- Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Florida, has introduced the United States-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act (H.R. 7039), legislation that would "approve the U.S.-India Agreement for Cooperation on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 24, was co-sponsored by Reps. John Boehner, R-Ohio; Roy Blunt, R-Missouri; Thaddeus McCotter, R-Michigan; Luis G. Fortuno, R-Puerto Rico; Joe Wilson, R-South Carolina; Mark S. Kirk, R-Illinois; and Ed Royce, R-California. It was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee and House Rules Committee.
