BILIRAN Geothermal Inc. (BGI) will commence with the exploration of geothermal resources in the Eastern Visayas region next month.
Zosimo Sarmiento, Filtech Energy Drilling Corp. managing director, said that the company expects BGI to start its exploration program once experts from the Canadian firm Phoenix Geophysicsit, which it has tapped to survey the region, arrives in the country.
"We are now awaiting the mobilization of the geophysical survey team from Canada to start the survey. We expect to start in the next two weeks," he said.
