GOVERNMENT
The U.S. Defense Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) are beginning a combined approach to managing computer software licenses that they designate as network-centric. The goal is to speed information access among authorized users, officials say.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will negotiate jointly with software vendors for licenses to allow defense and intelligence community components to access information and to share it with any potential authorized user, regardless of organization.
