WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-New Jersey, has introduced the Health Workforce Investment Act of 2008 (H.R. 7065), legislation that would "amend the Public Health Service Act to address health workforce shortages."
The bill, introduced on Sept. 25, was co-sponsored by Reps. Jerry Moran, R-Kansas; James P. McGovern, D-Massachusetts; and Lois Capps, D-California. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
