Article: Rep. Berman Introduces United States-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- Rep. Howard L. Berman, D-California, has introduced the United States-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act (H.R. 7061), legislation that would "approve the U.S.-India Agreement for Cooperation on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy."

The bill, introduced on Sept. 25, was co-sponsored by Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-New York, and Del. Eni F.H. Faleomavaega, D-American Samoa. It was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee and House Rules Committee.
