FEDERAL SPENDING INCREASED 4.4 PERCENT IN 2007

The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of the Census issued the following press release:

The federal government allocated $2.56 trillion in domestic spending for fiscal year 2007, up 4.4 percent from the prior year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This and additional important information on federal funding is included in two new reports being released today.
