Unite showed its support for the TUC campaign against the government's public sector pay policy at the congress' annual conference last month.
Unite assistant general secretary Gail Cartmail stated: 'The frustration and anger expressed during the TUC congress debate on public sector pay was a stinging rebuke of the government's 2% pay restraint policy. Congress supported a hard-hitting resolution, and among the actions agreed are days of action, a major national demonstration and co-ordinated industrial action. Unite will play its part in the TUC campaign, and will build support for its own campaign.'
