JPW shifts focus to wind projects

DeWITT - A booming business in repairing and constructing wind turbines prompted JPW Riggers, Inc. to sell some of its equipment to The C&S Cos.

The companies announced the deal Sept. 2. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DeWitt-based JPW sold two 90-ton cranes, one 50-ton crane, one 35-ton crane, one 15-ton crane, 12 forklifts with capabilities ranging from two to 15 tons, and other rigging and specialty equipment to Salina-based C&S. The gear was all associated with JPW's daily crane rental and rigging-services division.
