GENEVA, Oct. 4 - Christophe Paysant of La Tour en Jarez, France, has developed a cooking appliance.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to a "cooking appliance comprising a frame defining a cooking shaft with an upper opening, a cooking grid covering a portion at least of the upper opening of the cooking shaft, at least one radiant gas burner carried by the frame and having a radiating surface emitting infrared radiation in the direction of the cooking grid and adjacent to the cooking shaft."
