Salt Lake City area employers expect to hire at a solid pace during the fourth quarter, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, released last week.
Provo/Orem area employers anticipate to hire at a slow pace during the final quarter of the year, while their counterparts in Ogden should recruit new talent at a mild pace.
From October to December, 21 percent of companies interviewed in the Salt Lake area plan to hire more employees, while nine percent expect to reduce their payrolls, according to the survey. Another 75 percent expect to maintain their current staffing levels and 4 percent are not certain of their hiring plans.
