Employers turning to cost-sharing for drug benefits

More employers nationwide are having their workers pay a greater portion of their prescription-drug benefit as a long-term strategy to control employee-benefit costs, according to a new survey from Buck Consultants, a New York City-based human resources and benefits consulting company.

The study, "Understanding Your Strategies for Coping with the Changing Pharmacy Benefit Landscape," was released Aug. 12 and aimed to identify the different ways employers are managing their prescription-drug benefits costs.
