Businesses filling vacancies in Ithaca Commons

ITHACA - Five businesses are moving into new homes in the Ithaca Commons, according to the Downtown Ithaca Alliance.
They include a gift shop, a specialty clothing store, and a skateboarding shop, all of which are expanding, says Gary Ferguson, executive director of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance.
"I always think that's a good thing because it says something about the local marketplace. It's working for them," says Ferguson.
The other two businesses, both eateries, will be new to The Commons.
Among the businesses expanding is Homegrown Boardshop, which will make its move from 103 The Commons to 104 The Commons in October.
