December 2005 marked the end on a long history of Lexington Technical Institute (LTI) later named Lexington Community College's (LCC) relationship with its parent institution, the University of Kentucky.

Rick Smoot's new pictorial history of the college commemorates and celebrates the achievements of the last forty years.
