Vets Clubs Offer Peer Support on Campus

Veterans who attend college on the GI Bill today are different from their 18-year-old freshman counterparts in many ways. And things are changing for these student-veterans. To help adjust to these differences, the Student Veterans of America was formed this year with VFW assistance.

In 2004, VFWreported that campus veterans groups were forming around the country. Today, these small, local groups are bonding together to form a national organization with a voice for veterans issues.
