Article: Japanese, Chinese Inventors Develop Porous Ceramic Structure Manufacturing Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- Takehiko Watanabe of Toki, Japan, Yasushi Noguchi of Nagoya, Japan, and Hiroyuki Suenobu of Suzhou, China, have developed a method for manufacturing porous ceramic structure.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided a method for manufacturing a porous ceramic structure, including: firing a formed body containing ceramic particles and a combustible powder functioning as a pore former, and burning off the combustible powder to obtain the porous ceramic structure.
