PLANNING A MOUSE HOUSE

An architect is someone who helps you plan a house before you build it. The architect talks to you about what you want, designs the house, and then makes detailed drawings for the construction workers to follow when they build the house. When Click decided he wanted to build a house, he went to see his friend John Thorpe. John is an architect. This is what they said.

John: Hello, Click. How can I help you?

Click: Well, John, you know I like living with Amy in her house. But I'd like a place of my own too. Amy said I could build a little house for myself in her room. A mouse house. Can you help me?

John: I'd be delighted to help. You've told me that your new house will be in Amy's bedroom. ...
