Article: Lutheran Church-Canada elects its new president

The recent election of Rev. Robert Bugbee as president of Lutheran Church-Canada means all Canadian Lutherans are represented at their Winnipeg head offices by pastors from Ontario

In June, delegates to the Lutheran Church-Canada meeting in Winnipeg, elected Bugbee, long-time pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kitchener, to a three-year term as president of their denomination. A year earlier at their convention also held in Winnipeg, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada elected Rev. Susan C. Johnson, then working as the assistant to the regional bishop based in Kitchener, as their bishop.
