GENEVA, Oct. 13 - Soren Risgaard Dahl and Ronni Bogebjerg Azulay, both of Odense, Denmark, and Bo Vork Nielsen of Morud, Denmark, have developed an airplane power supply with wireless signal transmission.
According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the present invention relates to the "operational control of a ground power unit and/or a cable storage unit supplying power to a parked aircraft by- provision of a power cable for interconnection of a ground power unit with an aircraft, the power cable having a transmitter positioned at the output end of the power cable for wireless transmission of control signals to the ground power unit."
