University of Southern Indiana issued the following news release:
The application deadline for the 2009 class of Connect with Southern Indiana has been extended to Friday, October 17, 2008. The citizenship-building program is open to Indiana residents from nine counties.
Citizens from Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties who want to improve the quality of life in their community can apply.
The selection committee is looking for individuals who have the desire to develop a better understanding of active citizenship engagement. The program offers an opportunity to connect with other individuals who want to learn the skills to be active citizens. ...
