Northampton Community College issued the following news release:
Just days before the presidential election, Northampton Community College will stage William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, a story of intensely rivalrous politics and forceful emotional alliances. Written in 1599, the play is based on the plot against ancient Roman ruler Julius Caesar and the aftermath of his murder.
Believed to be Shakespeare's first tragedy, Julius Caesar predates Hamlet, Othello and King Lear and foreshadows characters in the later plays.
