Article: WIPO: Inventors in Japan Develop Fiber Structure

GENEVA, Oct. 17 - Takafumi Hashimoto, Shuichi Nonaka, Hiromichi Iijima and Kakuji Murakami, all from Shiga, Japan, have developed a fiber structure production method.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to a "fiber structure comprising a single fiber having a fiber diameter of three & mgr;m or more and/or a fiber bundle having a fiber bundle diameter of three & mgr;m or more and a single fiber having a fiber diameter of one μm or less."

The invention carries International Patent Publication No. WO/2008/111442 on Sept. 18.
