Article: WIPO: Inventors in Japan Develop Optical Wiring System

GENEVA, Oct. 17 - Tsuyoshi Imaizumi, Katsuyuki Aihara, Hiroshi Miyano, Masahiro Hamada and Hiroshi Miyabayashi, all from Kanaga, Japan, and Yoshiaki Terasawa and Keiju Okabe, both of Saitama, Japan, and Akio Kishi of Aichi, Japan, have developed an optical wiring system.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention relates to an "optical wiring system for connecting between a telephone exchange office side optical cable and one or a plurality of subscriber side optical cables.
