Chadron State College issued the following news release:

Fresh from ending No. 7 ranked Nebraska-Kearney's 21-match winning streak Friday night, Western State College defeated the Chadron State College volleyball team in three sets Saturday night. The scores were 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

While the Eagles had one of their better performances of the season, they could not keep up with Western State's .306 hitting percentage. Chadron State hit .150. Both teams had 15 hitting errors, but the Mountaineers managed 48 kills and the Eagles 30.
