Anoka Technical College issued the following news release:
July 23, 2008 -Anoka Technical College faculty member, Jean Jurek, recently got a surprise phone call from Los Angeles, California, that left her smiling and crying. On July 25, Jurek learned that syndicated talk show host, Jenny Jones, was giving the Anoka Technical College nursing assistant program a $25,000 grant in honor of Jurek's good friend and coworker Sue Hanson. Hanson, a nursing assistant instructor and department chairperson, was tragically killed in automobile accident in 2005.
