Article: ALACHUA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFERS FLU SHOTS ON ELECTION DAY

Alachua County issued the following news release:

The Alachua County Health Department, in cooperation with the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections, is offering flu shots at three voting precincts on November 4, 2008.

"Getting a flu shot is an important step in preventing influenza infection." stated Paul Myers, Assistant Director of the Alachua County Health Department. "Flu shots can prevent disease, minimize the severity of illness, and help protect your family, friends and coworkers. We encourage citizens at these polling places to vote and then get their shot."

Flu shots will be offered at the following voting sites from 9am to 12pm:
